Board of Directors

Mr. Said Amali Ph.D. PE worked for corporate firms on the West Coast for many years and now has his own consulting practice focused on water and environmental engineering and science. He has lived in Beaverton with his wife and two kids (and our cat Sunny) since 2000. This is not his entire stay in Oregon, as he went to Oregon State University (Go Beavers!) in the early 1980s. Said is very dedicated to propagation of Iranian historical, social, and cultural aspects in our Oregon and Southwest Washington local communities. As a member of the Andisheh Center Board of Directors, he seeks ways to improve cultural understandings based on the strength inherent in cultural diversity.

Miss Bahareh Kristine Rabii is currently a senior at Portland State University. She is working towards her BA and is double majoring in music and science and hopes to pursue a career in medicine. Bahareh is proud to be a direct product of Andisheh Center. She was born and raised in the Portland Metro area and has studied music, dance, and her culture through the amazing members of the Persian community of Portland. Bahareh enjoys working with kids and teens to discuss Iranian culture and educate non-Iranians about the similarities between their societies through music and film.

Ms. Marzie Salarie is a 20 year veteran marketing manager at local high tech company. She moved to Portland area in 1987 and currently lives in Beaverton. Outside of daily work she volunteers at non profit organizations encouraging a healthier and happier community.
